Watwet
What is Watwet?

Watwet is a micro-blogging and social messaging tool to broadcast and share your statuses, whereabouts, news, rants and ramblings with your friends, family and colleagues. With Watwet you can follow the news of people and what they have been up to.

How does it work?

The way it works is really easy. Once you have signed up, you can start posting messages that we call: watwets. Your watwets will reach your followers (people who are following you on watwet).

What is the difference between a "watwet" and a "washwish"?

Watwets are messages that all your followers will receive and will appear in the public timeline. Washwishes are direct messages that you send to specific person on Watwet.

Watwet in Arabic (especially in the Levant region of the Middle East) means to talk fast and spontaneously. Washwish means to whisper in Arabic.

Do I pay anything to post or receive watwets and washwishes by SMS?

No. We do not charge you anything for posting or receiving watwets and washwishes by SMS.

Are my watwets visible to anybody on the internet?

Yes. By default your watwets are visible to anybody on the internet. Most people like to share their watwets with the world, as they treat their watwet pages as a mini-blog in which they stream their life. Of course, washwishes are always NOT visible to others. Only you can view washwishes that were sent to you.

You can make your watwets visible ONLY to your followers and not appear on the public timeline. You can do that by going to the privacy settings http://watwet.com/settings/privacy.

Is there a mobile version of Watwet to access from my mobile browser?

Using the mobile version of Watwet from your mobile phone browser can significantly decrease GPRS and data transfer charges by your operator. It is also loads faster.
